2012 : PEUGEOT I-COCKPIT® CRÉE L’ÉVÉNEMENT SUR LA PEUGEOT 208
Sur la première génération de PEUGEOT 208, PEUGEOT ose révolutionner un des éléments qui a le moins évolué dans l’histoire de l’automobile : le poste de conduite. L’innovation transforme l’expérience de conduite. Jugez plutôt : un volant plus compact, des informations de conduite à hauteur du regard, un écran central tactile.
2012 : PEUGEOT I-COCKPIT® CRÉE L’ÉVÉNEMENT SUR LA PEUGEOT 208
Sur la première génération de PEUGEOT 208, PEUGEOT ose révolutionner un des éléments qui a le moins évolué dans l’histoire de l’automobile : le poste de conduite. L’innovation transforme l’expérience de conduite. Jugez plutôt : un volant plus compact, des informations de conduite à hauteur du regard, un écran central tactile.
2016 : PEUGEOT I-COCKPIT® DEUXIÈME GÉNÉRATION INAUGURE L’ÈRE NUMÉRIQUE
Véritable « amplificateur de sensations », PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® ne cesse de se perfectionner pour être toujours plus performant. En 2016, la deuxième génération de PEUGEOT 3008 et de PEUGEOT 5008 inaugure une version avec un combiné numérique de 12,3 pouces entièrement paramétrable et personnalisable, tandis que des touches piano (toggle switches) prennent place sous l’écran central tactile, pour faciliter encore davantage l’accès aux fonctions essentielles. En 2019, la deuxième génération de PEUGEOT 208 introduit un combiné numérique 3D.

2021-2022 : PEUGEOT I-COCKPIT® SE PERFECTIONNE AVEC I-CONNECT®

Le PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® franchit une étape supplémentaire sur les nouvelles PEUGEOT 308 (2021) et 408 (2022) avec l’introduction de l’inédit système d’info-divertissement i-Connect®, d’un nouveau volant compact capable de détecter la présence des mains du conducteur lors de l’usage des aides à la conduite et de i-toggles tactiles et configurables vers les réglages de climatisation, de contact téléphonique, de station radio et de lancement d’application… paramétrées au choix de l’utilisateur.

To understand the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® experience, we went to meet users who agreed to give us their impressions after several years of driving with the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®.
JÉRÔME - OWNER OF A 508 SW (FRANCE)

"I am 39 years old, have two children and live in the Somme. Since February 2020, I have been driving a 508 SW."

 

How long have you been a PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® user?

"I have been using the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® since October 2013 with the purchase of my first 308. The 508 has a version with a digital panel whereas the 308s had needle meters and a central matrix."

 

What was the aspect that most attracted you when you tried the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® for the first time?

"When I did my first test drive, I was really surprised by the agility of the vehicle and in the end, I felt like I was driving a smaller vehicle. I still have this feeling with the 508, which is quite large. Finally, I find that the i-Cockpit® is a natural fit. Now, when I drive a vehicle that is not equipped with an i-Cockpit®, it feels strange! The steering wheel feels huge and it doesn't feel natural to look at the speedometer information through the steering wheel.

 

Did you experience any new driving sensations? Which ones?

"As an occasional karting fan, I immediately saw the parallel, with the small steering wheel and the agility of the vehicle. It makes driving more fun and puts a smile on your face!

 

Do you find that PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® makes your driving easier? Why do you think so?

"The information displayed on the panel falls directly in front of the eyes, in continuity with the bottom of the windscreen. The different screens that can be selected on the digital panel allow you to display the information you want, depending on driving situations or personal preferences.

How long have you been a PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® user?

"I have been using PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® since I bought my new 208 in 2020."

 

What was the aspect that most attracted you when you tried the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® for the first time?

"For me, the 3D display instead of the usual analogue display was very impressive and really appealing. The configuration with the lower steering wheel and the information displayed high up surprised me a lot at first."

 

Do you find that PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® makes your driving easier? Why do you think so?

"Yes, I immediately found this configuration very comfortable, especially with the steering wheel which is smaller and lighter."

"Hello, I am 46 years old, I live in the province of Cuneo , near the French border I have worked in different jobs: worker, forklift operator and warehouse worker. Today I own a 208 1.6 e-Hdi Allure from 2013 bought second hand in 2019."

"I have been a PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® user for about 4 years."

 

What was the aspect that most attracted you when you tried the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® for the first time?

"For me, this little steering wheel was fabulous! I also liked the low seating position and the sporty, wraparound seat edges. I'm quite tall so I found my ideal position by moving the seat back as far as possible."

 

Did you experience any new driving sensations? Which ones?

"I especially felt new sensations when driving in the city: the small steering wheel is more comfortable, the power steering is excellent. But now that I've tried the small steering wheel, it's hard to give it up! When I change cars for work, I really notice the difference"

 

Do you find that PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® makes your driving easier? Why do you think so?

"The steering wheel controls are perfect, not too many buttons, you can reach them without taking your hands off. This is essential for safety. The separate lever for the automatic speed control is very convenient, you can reach it with your fingertips."
